The Festival that spreads the
Brazilian animation and World,
in center of Brazil.

The Festival made its debut on the world calendar in 2017, and is currently a Camila Nunes – Head of the Festival with the Goiás production company Baloo Filmes.

The programming is based on three main axes; first the da display, which includes competitive and non-competitive exhibitions; the second axis being that of market, covered by the Lanterna Film Market, which contains case studies, lectures and debates, in addition to promoting meetings between producers, distributors and animators, the third axis is centered on Lanterna Educa which includes exhibitions aimed at public schools, in addition to training activities, such as workshops and debates, aimed at the general public.

It also includes the único laboratory of projects exclusively for animation, the Animated Projects Hospital.

The films selected at the festival undergo rigorous curation and are awarded by jurors and the public.

The event promotes the Brazilian and global animation market, boosting the local and international scene.

This axis encompasses competitive and non-competitive exhibitions, providing a platform for filmmakers to showcase their works.

Market

The Lanterna Film Market is a crucial part of the festival, bringing together industry professionals for case studies, inspiring talks and enriching debates.

This space facilitates meetings between producers, distributors and animators, promoting partnerships and business opportunities that boost the animation industry.

TRAINING

Lanterna Educa focuses on activities aimed at training and training new talents. Includes special displays for public schools and a variety of workshops and debates that address different aspects of animation production.

It seeks to encourage interest in animation from an early age and offer resources for development.

A sétima edição do Lanterna Mágica – Festival Internacional de Animação será realizada entre os dias 18 e 23 de março de 2025. vai movimentar a cena do audiovisual internacional, ocupando diferentes espaços culturais de Goiânia, conectando estúdios, produtores e diretores de animação, ampliando a visibilidade do gênero e mercado.

Serão exibidos aproximadamente 6 longas-metragens convidados e 70 curtas-metragens divididos em mostras competitivas e não competitivas no CINEX, localizado no Centro Cultural Oscar Niemeyer. Com duas salas Vip’s, com acessibilidade, poltronas reclináveis, projeção DCP e som 5.1.

A composição do festival agrega 3 eixos principais:

Display: que inclui Mostras Competitivas Nacionais e Internacional de curta-metragem, Mostra Panorama da Animação do Centro-oeste, Mostra de longas-metragens convidados, Mostra Infantil, Sessão Escola e Mostras Especiais em parceria com outros festivais.

Market: contemplado pelo Lanterna Film Market, que contém estudos de caso, palestras e debates, além de promover o encontro entre produtoras, distribuidoras e animadores.

Formação: centrado no Lanterna Educa, onde acontecem debates, oficinas de Storyboard, Stop Motion, oficina Unreal, oficina de Inteligência Artificial, oficina de Mercados Internacionais, oficina de Introdução a animação e oficina para crianças, além de exibições e cursos exclusivos para escolas das redes públicas e particulares de ensino.
